Our journey to social change
Mill Brook Community Consortium is a locally rooted social enterprise committed to delivering measurable, long-term social value for children, young people, and families in the Mill Brook area.
We specialise in the design, development, and delivery of high-impact, place-based programmes, tools, and resources that support public bodies, developers, charities, and private-sector partners to meet shared objectives around prevention, inclusion, and community wellbeing. Our work is shaped by local need, evidence-led practice, and close collaboration with statutory and community stakeholders.
Our focus is on supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people—particularly those at risk of exclusion, disengagement, or poor long-term outcomes—through early intervention, engagement-first approaches, and pathways that build confidence, resilience, skills, and economic independence.
By combining community insight with practical delivery models, we help partners reduce risk, strengthen outcomes, and demonstrate meaningful Social Value aligned to local priorities, ESG commitments, and Section 106 objectives.
We welcome opportunities to work with councils, developers, funders, and delivery partners to activate space, invest in people, and create sustainable benefits for individuals, communities, and the wider place.

Our vision for a brighter future
Mill Brook Community Consortium was born out of a profound need to support the local young people and children of Mill Brook, driven by a shared vision to improve the lives of young people and children regardless of race, creed and sex orientation.
We achieve this through inspirational and transformational learning approaches within our local community, increasing participation, knowledge, understanding, skills, and resilience.
Our holistic and creative methods empower individuals, families, and society to focus on the positive, ensuring better outcomes for young people and children.
Our ultimate vision is for all young people and children using our services to be enabled, empowered, and equipped with the skills and confidence needed to live responsible, healthy, safe, and independent lives, becoming productive and active citizens.

Driven by a clear mission
Our mission is to provide support targeted and timely additional support to young people and children from local community and focus from disadvantaged backgrounds, enabling them to thrive and fulfil they potential into adult and working life.
We are driven by a strong sense of purpose and our core values, which guide all our actions. We believe in tackling root causes rather than symptoms, advocating for proactive approaches to prevent problems from escalating into crises. Our focus is on building success, improving life chances, and reducing the personal, social, and economic costs of failure by intervening earlier and more effectively.

Strategic priorities for lasting impact
With a clear strategic focus on partnership, innovation, sustainability, scalability, and social impact, we champion the importance of adequately preparing young people for life and work. We foster a grassroots network of like-minded partners, harness new technology for dynamic programmes, diversify income streams for long-term viability, and aim for phased expansion to maximise reach.
Our unique C.H.O.I.C.E.S Academy and C.H.O.I.C.E.S Club provide a holistic 'whole person' approach, helping young people and children remove barriers and turn potential into progression and achievement. We empower them to make informed choices, fostering increased self-esteem, confidence, and self-awareness, leading to active and productive citizenship.
“Mill Brook Community Consortium will transform young people and children with the skills needed to succeed and be positive citizens. Our support is person-centred and focus on unlocking potential .”
